No Stress, Just Honest, Beautiful Memories
I know that family photos can feel overwhelming....wondering what to wear, if the kids will cooperate, or how you’ll look in front of the camera. That’s why I approach every session with patience, warmth, and a little humor. I’ll guide you through the poses when you need it, step back when real moments unfold, and create a space where you can just be yourselves. The result? Images that feel true to your family: comfortable, joyful, and full of heart.
Photography first found me back in high school. What started as a hobby turned into one of my greatest joys — photographing my friends, Friday night football games, and little everyday moments that now feel drenched in nostalgia when I look back. Even then, I loved the idea of preserving memories that might otherwise be forgotten.
I pursued law in college, but no matter what direction I tried to take, photography kept calling me back. What began as a creative outlet slowly grew into something much bigger: a career that allowed me to serve families, couples, and communities. Over the years, I built a business that captured everything from weddings across the U.S. and Italy, to more than 100 family sessions a year.
Through it all, I discovered that my favorite part of photography is the honor of being invited into people’s lives to preserve what matters most — whether it’s the joyful chaos of family life, the sweet in-between moments, or the big celebrations.
The journey started long before Timber & Tide …
After years of chasing fast-paced wedding days and traveling from coast to coast, I’ve found myself craving a slower rhythm, one where I can focus on the art of preserving fleeting, everyday magic. Soft baby smiles. The way kids throw their arms around you without hesitation. The kind of laughter that leaves you with smile lines you’ll treasure.
That’s what brought me to North Idaho. My sister and her growing family are here, and being close to them feels like such a gift. My boyfriend John, our pup Roadie (Chief Cuddle Officer of the house), and I are excited to grow our own family here too — and I love that my work allows me to stay rooted in this community while still connecting with families year after year.
Family photography has always been a part of my journey, and now I get to lean into it fully!! Offering an experience that’s not only stress-free and comfortable, but heartfelt and lasting. While I still take on weddings here and there (especially in North Idaho), my heart is here, focusing on the beauty of family stories as they unfold.
